Swipe up for info view

Feature Request

On the Android app you have to click the three dots in the top right of a picture and then press Info to see information about the photo like date taken.

It would be easier to access this info view by swiping up while viewing a picture.

    the swipe up gesture has been improved in version 1.21 and should now work fine.

    Nothing Phone 3, Android 16: I'm getting to the info view while just swiping left-right. Sometimes the app doesn't recognize the swipe and doesn't react at all, sometimes it mistakes the horizontal swipes for a vertical one and opens the info view, which quickly becomes annoying after some time. Other apps with similar functionality behave as expected on my phone (e.g. Google Photos, native NothingOS Gallery, messengers).

    Hi, this is already implemented. Maybe try to swipe down a bit more from the bottom?

      I tried for about 3 minutes now and I finally got it working! That was way too difficult haha, possibly because I use Android gesture navigation 😄

      It would be nice if that was possible to do on the entire photo, not just all the way at the bottom. Just like google photos.

      Also, the swiping left and right is so sensitive that I had to swipe almost perfectly straight up for it not to just swipe to the next/previous picture.

      I also use Android gesture navigation (meaning no home or back button, so I swipe up from bottom to go home), which means it is really difficult to trigger the zeitkapsl swipe up from the very bottom without triggering the Android home swipe!

      The google photos way is amazing, it would be great to replicate that! 😍

      EDIT: Im using a google pixel 7 pro with Android 16, security update 5th of July 2025, Google Play update 1st of May 2025.

        Then I guess we need to optimize the experience :D We will have a closer look on how it works on google photos.
