Show local media and allow re-uploads

Feature Request

The app only displays photos and videos that have already been uploaded, with no option to view media stored locally on the device.

This makes it difficult to upload new items or manage existing ones. Additionally, if a photo or video is deleted from the cloud, there is no way to re-upload it.

Providing access to local media and allowing re-uploads would significantly improve usability and give users better control over their backups.

    Hi,

    if the app has access to the full gallery, local media should also be shown, with a crossed out cloud symbol. You can also filter them via the search bar.

    Regarding re-uploads of deleted media: Is there a use case for you where you would regularly do that?

    If this is a one time-thing you want to do for accidentally deleted media, you can do the following:

    Open the zeitkapsl app, navigate to settings and scroll down all the way. Click and hold the version number. In the debug menu, go to Actions and select “Clear Tombstones”. Now you should be able to re-upload the deleted media.
