Better documentation of multi-user features

The FAQ and pricing table suggest that it is possible to share a Zeitkapsl account between multiple users, but I can’t find any further information about how that actually works. Do all users share the same photo library, or are they entirely separate, or is there some sort of access permissions model (if so, on what level – entire collection, album, individual photo)? Can the account owner set up quotas?

I signed up for the 2€ tier to test Zeitkapsl, but it looks like without shelling out an additional 4€, there’s no way to test this myself I think?

(This would probably be covered by the https://zeitkapsl.featurebase.app/en/p/zeitkapsl-manual item once that manual exists 🙂)

    Hi!

I have to admit there is no documentation on this, or any it all, so I will explain it here.

Basically, you only share one invoice and the storage available, everything else is just as if you sign up for separate subscriptions.

You can create shares if you want, of course, by default nothing is shared.

If the paying account cancels the subscription, all other accounts have 2 weeks to add payment information.

In case you do want to share the whole library, I recommend just using one account on multiple devices, there is no limitation on that.

Also if you drop a support ticket with your account details, I am happy to temporarily add another account so you can test everything. If you are happy, please upgrade, if not, let us know :)

You can invite additional accounts from the settings page on the web app.

I hope this clarifies things a bit

Hi, thanks for the quick response, it does clarify things a bit 😄

Makes sense. Can I share the entire collection if I want to, though? Or would I be better off just having everybody use the same account in that case? (with the caveat that anybody could (accidentally) delete or otherwise mess stuff up, then)

I guess in that case it would be easier to share one account. But you can also create a dedicated collection and share with all the other accounts. Drawback, you have to manually add items to this collection. On the other hand gives you more flexibility on what to share.
