Album sharing beyond view and upload

It would be great if there was an option for a shared album to appear more like a “local” album, at least for accounts that are on the same storage plan. At the moment I can only view and upload pictures in a shared album. When sharing albums between family members, more features would be desirable.

What I would like to do:

• Add an item in a shared album to my favourites.

• Add an item in a shared album to a “local” album.

• Have items from a shared album show up in the main timeline, just like if it was a “local” album.
